About this Award

Freelance life can be lonely. And it can be tough to get the recognition you deserve. That’s why CreativeMornings and FreshBooks are launching the Master Freelancer Award.

It’s time to show us your best piece of freelance work — the website you designed that bends the rules, the photo you took that made it on that billboard, the copy you wrote for the poster that went viral — and tell us why you rock the freelance lifestyle. It’s absolutely free to enter, just like every CreativeMornings event.

After you submit, we’ll drop into your inbox every week with some words of wisdom, support, and encouragement. Just because we know that you’re awesome.

Why Participate?

Entries will be reviewed by our panel of expert judges: Ingrid Fetell Lee (Design Director at IDEO), Josh Hansen (Creative Director, FreshBooks), Liz Danzico (Creative Director, NPR), Mike McDerment (co-founder and CEO, FreshBooks) & Tina Roth Eisenberg (founder and CEO, CreativeMornings).

And if you win? For starters: you’ll be a CreativeMornings & FreshBooks Master Freelancer - high-five! But, we’ll also share your work with our global audience in every corner of the Internet.
